Publishing events
Creating a competition, and how events are tied to your organiser company.
Once your verification application is approved, your organiser company exists and you can publish competitions.
Creating an event
From the profile menu choose Create event, or use the button on the Events page. An event needs three things:
- Name — what families will search for
- Date — the day of the competition
- Location — venue and city
That is deliberately minimal for now. Routine scheduling, divisions and entry management are being built on top of this record.
Events belong to your company, not to you
Every event is filed under your verified organiser company rather than your personal account.
This matters for two reasons:
- Branding stays with the company. Events show your company name, not an individual's.
- Staff can be added later. When organiser companies support multiple staff members, their events will already be attached to the right company.
Who can see your events
Events are public the moment they are created. They appear on the landing page, in the Events list, and on their own page — visible to signed-out visitors, because families need to find competitions before they have an account.
What is coming
The event page already has placeholders for the two things being built next:
- Schedule — routine times, so academies know when they are on
- Results — scores as judges submit them, feeding into rankings
Both will attach to the event record you create today, so nothing you publish now needs redoing.
